I use my CC for everything. I get 1% back on all purchases + 5% on certain purchases. I've received over $1300 in cash back over the last two years. I dont buy anything on the card I cant pay off by the end of the month tho
I think that is the "spirit of the law" yank was laying forth. Don't spend what you can not pay. From what I gather, yank is the master extraordinaire of leveraging rewards programs.
I can tell you that small business owners (and large) have to account for cc by adding it into the price of goods and services sold. Cash is king in a lot of situations where price is negotiable and you can save more than with bonus point awards. Always good to ask if there is a cash discount. Couple years out of high school I spent a wonderful summer unemployed and living off of a cc. I then had to work 2 jobs to pay that sucker off. Lesson learned the hard way.
The only spirit of the law yankee was advancing is that he failed at marriage, he failed at his job, so don't ever take his approach to life. And he really likes to talk about others assholes. Wonder why?? But, hey...that is great advice from yankee. Not that I would ever listen to it......
i am a millennial as well let me add on to the list...cut all non essential things from your life...i.e fast food, new toys, make the meals you buy go far and save, save, save, then invest or start your own business=becoming wealthy, all you need to have is discipline..oh and worst part but natty ice instead of craft beer. oh yeah of course almost forgot live in a trailer or rv so you dont have to pay rent.
Somebody has got to needle the po' boy. He seems so lonely. So I decided to jab at him, wake him up. His posts have been so lackluster as of late. He must be depressed.....
I don't know about all that but I think that you would agree that running up lots of credit card debt could be considered moronic. Back on thread topic: You go and see the movie "The Finest Hours" (good flick, BTW, I recommend), and you say to your self "Dang, did he just duck dive that boat?"
