Just an incredible fall day! Despite the cool air temps & NNW wind, the sun will keep you warm on the beach. Wave height is waist high but the tide needs to drop before you will find any breaks. To the point, great day to scavenge hurricane debris on the beach but not such a good day to go surfing. NOTE: WE HAVE ORDERED WINTER FLEECE WITH THE RATSA CSS SQASH DOT LOGO AND WE ARE HOPING TO HAVE HURRICANE BENEFIT TEES PRINTED IN TIME FOR THANKSGIVING. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
smaller than yesterday. wind forecast to be NW at 10 to 15 mph. water temp low 60's. air temp 50's.ferry system is the only way on, expect to wait in line.
Good morning. It is a beautiful morning out here at the beach today. The wind is blowing out of the NW at 3 mph causing for glassy conditions. The surf unfortunately is basically flat. It's running ankle to shin at best but its breaking so shallow you couldn't surf it if you wanted. Have a great Saturday. We will give you an updated report at midday.
Good afternoon! It is a windy day out here on Pensacola Beach. The winds are coming out of the SW at 16-18 mph causing for choppy conditions on the Gulf of Mexico. There is no surf. There is ankle to shin high waves coming over a shallow sandbar but nothing that is rideable. Surf looks dismal for the near distant future but we will keep our eyes on it and report any changes that we find! Have a great Friday! Don't forget the art festival downtown this weekend and the Surf Party at the 4th parking lot on Sunday.
A quick promotional video of Vince Boulanger surfing the day session on Thursday November 1, 2012......mid-town Ocean City, Maryland after Hurricane Sandy passed thru Ocean City with her destructive path.....tunes by Metric and an Hour and a Half session with Vince Boulanger............unscene.
Friday's thigh to waist swell is going to need to find some sand bars. There is a off-shore wind & consistent swell rolling in to the beach. But there are a couple of factors that are keeping the sections from breaking: 1) all of the sandbars have been flattened; 2) there are no troughs to off-set any bar. However, low tide might offer some opportunities. Air temps is 42 degrees Fahrenheit and wind chill is around 36 degrees w glassy off-shore conditions: NOTE: MET WITH THE ART DEPARTMENT AT FLYING FISH INK ON THE CSS HURRICANE BENEFIT BENEFIT TEE.
