the ocean is really churned up this morning and there's a lot of water moving out there. i didn't drive to frisco today but from seeing it yesterday i'd guess the pier is the best bet. wind forecast to be NE at 10 to 15 mph. water in the upper 50's.

the surf at the lighthouse has come back up and a bit on the unorganized side. the surf at frisco pier is glassy with some zippers coming through. there's one guy out getting tube ride after tube ride but not coming out of any of them, and the tide is getting lower. wind forecast to be NE at 10 to 15 mph. water temp maybe in the upper 50's?

the lighthouse is still well overhead storm surf. behind the campground in the cove it appears to be maybe thigh high and closing out and frisco pier is a few feet overhead on sets and clean but mostly just shutting down. wind forecast to be NE at 15 to 20 mph. water temp upper 50's?

it is so windy on the beach you just get pelted by sand. first shot from behind the motels and the second shot a drive-thru at the lighthouse. wind forecast to be NE at 25 to 35 mph with 50 mph gusts before letting up a little this afternoon. low tide around 10 AM. bye bye warmer water.
