New York:
Waist to chest high with some shoulder high sets. Winds are light E early but will increase throughout the day. Some fun little waves early, get on it before the winds come up. Looks like waves for the next few days.

Pensacola, FL:
Good morning! The surf is thigh high. The winds are ESE at 8-10 causing for bumpy conditions. It will only get bigger from here. 18th and the Cross were breaking but the pier wasn't. Looks like Isaac doesn't know where he's going. This morning's report has him going to our west which is no good. I was hoping for the west side of the storm if we had to take a hit. It's brought the models down a bit too. They are no longer showing the 29' swells...only 15'+...still that's big. We will have an update on the building swell later this morning.

Pensacola, FL:
Good afternoon! Surf is starting to pick up. Whoohoo! The surf at the Cross is running knee to thigh high and about every 15-20 minutes a bigger peak will come through. The Pier is running knee, thigh and hip on sets. I did see one set come through that may have been close to waist on the peak but there are lots of tourists out in the water so you would have to dodge them. The Cross was breaking way more consistent. The wind is blowing out of the SE at 6-8 mph causing for semi choppy conditions. Isaac currently has 60 mph sustained winds and is moving NW at 21 mph. Most of the models show it going East of us which is good because we would get the West side of the storm. Hopefully it will keep going to the East of us. Hopefully we will have some surf tomorrow. We will give you another report at sunrise. Have a great Saturday.

This was shot when I visited home for a few weeks this summer. It was shot in two sessions with minimal to no surf. But we made the best of what was offered. Enjoy! Canon 7D DSLR SIGMA DG 150-500mm 1:5-6.3 APO HSM 720 ppi 60 fps Monochrome WWW.APPARADUS.COM

Good morning! It is still just a gorgeous day out here on the beach. There isn't any surf to speak of. There are those little lines that just won't break and when they do don't go anywhere. The winds are out of the ESE at 11-12 mph causing for choppy conditions. You could go and SUP but the ride is going to be anything but smooth. It looks like Isaac is still tracking our way. I have heard of a few gas stations running out of the low grade gas, but no absolute shortages yet. People are getting a little antsy around here as it is the first time we've been center stage in the cone this year. Be prepared but don't freak out. Be nice to people while you are waiting in line...I've already been yelled at today in the gas line just to fill up my car. Oh and have a great day!

Corolla, NC:
At this morning posting Corolla has a little too much wind, thunder and a choppy ocean. But we also have size: waist to chest on the faces. The wind just needs to back off. Swimmers should watch out for strong side shore currents and rip tides. NOTE: WE HAVE GONE LIVE WITH THE COROLLA SURF SHOP CAM. WE STILL HAVE AFEW TECHNICAL ISSUES TO WORK OUT BUT WITH HURRICANE SEASON AT ITS PEAK, WE DECIDED TO GO LIVE. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Pensacola, FL:
Good morning. It is a beautiful day out here on Pensacola Beach. The surf is flat. The wind is ESE at 8-9 mph causing for bumpy conditions. 18th, The Cross, and the Pier are flat. It looks like we are still right in the middle of the cone of shame, I mean the cone of uncertainty. According to swell models, the surf is supposed to build today. It has little lines trying to come through, they are just too weak and break on the beach. We will have a midday report for you later!

New York:
Waist high with some bigger sets. Long period swell from theESE brings in some chest high sest. Winds will be E for the next couple of days. Get on it early before winds come up. Similar conditions for the next few days. May see clean up on Wed as winds are forecasted to go NW.
