a little bigger than it's been with onshore winds. wicked thunder showers all around. It's been going on all night long. Some pretty good bolts were coming down out of the sky off shore.

Pensacola, FL:
Good afternoon! It's a beautiful day out here at Pensacola Beach. The water is crystal clear and the wind is blowing out of the S 11-13 mph causing for semi choppy conditions. The surf is trying. Looked at the Cross and the Pier. The Cross was shin to knee high. The pier was running knee high but it had a thigh set come through ever so often. Yesterday afternoon the jellyfish were pretty bad out there so wear a rash guard if you want to go out. It isn't nearly as good as yesterday afternoon but there is some small waves to be caught. Keep your eyes on tropical storm Isaac. Magicseaweed is showing us getting some small surf on Saturday and it building to waist high on Sunday. We will give you an updated report at sunrise tomorrow morning. Have a great FRIDAY!

Pensacola, FL:
Good afternoon! It is drop-dead gorgeous out here on Pensacola Beach. The clouds are off in the distance leaving blue skies unblemished and the water is crystal clear. Even the temperature has come down as there isn't as much humidity in the air since we haven't had copious amounts of rainfall in the past couple of days. The surf is still shin to knee high breaking just off of the beach. It is SUP-able and would be a great day to teach someone how to surf. The wind is ESE at 7-8 mph causing for breezy, nice conditions at the beach. The crowds are gone and today would be a great day to find your own spot on the beach and just enjoy the paradise we live in! Have a great day! I will report back to you later.

Yesterday was the best so far of many days of mid to long-period swell. Fun shortboard rides on 17s+ swell. Some sets had 6 or more waves in them. Didn't have to wait long for a good wave. Would be nice if it was a foot or so bigger. Looks like TD Joyce isn't spinning up much - too bad. Enjoy.

Pensacola, FL:
Good morning! It is a beautiful, clear morning out here on Pensacola Beach. The surf is little shin to knee high lines breaking near the beach. The wind is SE and causing for semi-glassy conditions. 18th is breaking shin to knee high and looks like fun on a sup or big board. The Cross is breaking shin to knee high. The pier is also breaking shin to knee high. It looks like all the models are trained on us. I haven't looked at all of the factors that can change his course. Hopefully we can get some swell and manage to not get hit. Here's for hoping! Have a great morning.
