Cape Hatteras, NC:
very low tide and dumpy. should get more rideable this afternoon unless the sw wind gets it. the h20 is even colder. my guess is 39-40 as the reading I heard yesterday from the south side was 41.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Wind is NNW at 15-25 this am, mix of sideshore and offshore, tide is real low and most of the waves are to fast or the sections fall to ride, but every now and then if your in the right place at the right time I'm sure there is a good one. Very cold but not as cold as yesterday. H2o is probably about 42.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Some excellent waves if you can be in the right place at the right time but it is brutally cold this am and the ocean is pretty confused. It is a wait. They will be hard to come by.

It's such a lousy day I didn't bother to get out of the truck. Sorry. But it is a balmy 42 degrees out this am.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
sloppy conditions with a NW wind which is mostly north and still plenty of current and all I can say is it looks cold.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Strong north swell again with a lot of current. Even at high tide some waves are breaking on the outer bar. The wind has a lot of north in the NW so it is mostly sideshore with a mix of offshore. Frisco has a wave but it is closing out and getting blown back by the wind as soon as it breaks.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Still breaking rather quickly and inconsistent but there is a good wave if you can get in the right place at the right time. Not as much current or swell as the past few days. Sorry but low light takes lousy pics. Water yesterday was 44

Cape Hatteras, NC:
If you're able to deal with the cold and the mega current and get lucky and get in the right place at the right time there is a great wave for a select few riders.

A lot of sideshore to the NNW wind and a lot of current. water temp around 45. A lot of waves to quick to ride but a few end sections.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Looks like you'll pay the price but there will be a few to be had. Mix of sideshore and offshore with a NNW wind at about 20. Cold misting rain, strong sideshore current, water probably mid 40's. With the tide going out I would say it will get more current and more closeouts.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
South swell with a NE wind and poor shape. I haven't seen Frisco but I got a call from a friend in Hatteras and he said "plenty of raw material but couldn't find a finished product" He said at least head high or better but just closing out, no shoulders.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
The wind is bitter cold this am and there is a rideable wave but the wind is blowing about 35 mph with a mix of sideshore and offshore out of the NW. The wave lasts about a second or 2 before being blown back
