Well the little surf we kind of had is gone. The tide and the changing wind washed it all away. What is managing to struggle over the sandbars is shin high. The wind is out of the SSE @ 7-8 mph giving the Gulf a little bump. We still have our eyes and hopes trained on reportable surf this weekend! Don't forget to call our phone report! Good afternoon surfers! We do have some shin to knee high surf. The winds are out of the SE at 7-9 mph. If you are bored you can longboard it or SUP it. Great for teaching someone how to surf. It's still looking good for this weekend. The forecasts are staying the same and MagicSeaweed is still giving us stars!! Thanks for all of your support. We really appreciate it! I'll have an evening report before you leave work today!
The pictures tell the story. The OBX is experiencing flat surf this AM. The wind is blowing out of the NNW and the swell is heading towards Europe. Air temps have dropped into the mid 40's but the sun is out. The weatherman (whoever he is ?) is forecasting warmer weather for Sunday (82 degrees Fahrenheit). NOTE: WE HAVE BEEN JUST GOT MORE LONG BOARD SKATEBOARDS DELIVERED YESTERDAY. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Fun waves during the morning at the point. The conditions are perfect; glassy waves, light offshore winds and sunny day. Still waves from the last swell.
Well surfers it's still flat. Every once in a while an ankle bump will break over the sandbars. The wind is chilly out of the NNE @ 10-11 mph. It is still looking positive for surf this weekend. So we'll keep our eyes on it! We will also have eyes on the beach for you at noon to give you a beach report.
Fun surf early this morning, with 3 ft waves and glass water. The rest of the day wasn’t outstanding, it got quite choppy at noon with the usual onshore winds at that hour, but the new SSW started to fill in with the tide late in the afternoon, and the evening session was really good, with some shoulder high sets. Swell continues to grow tomorrow!
