Cape Hatteras, NC:
A little bit of SE swell left. Wind not blowing to hard out of the NE. Forecast to increase to only 10-15. I haven't seen the south side. The report I received from a friend is waist to chest and inconsistent and not breaking well.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
Ocean is just a mess. The wind is blowing SW so it is a mix of sideshore and offshore. No line ups. Waves breaking everywhere.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
heavy offshores with a mix of sideshore. NW 25-35 with stronger gusts. the wind will cut right through you. the heavy offshore will hold the wave up to about chest high but it blows it down quick also.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
clean surf at the lighthouse this morning with northwest winds around 15 mph. probably fun all day unless the high tide around noon fills it in too much. frisco is small and dribbly. gas is $.40 a gallon cheaper in nags head, fill up before driving down. the road is repaired and open north of rodanthe.

the next high tide around 11:30 this morning. wind forecast to be northeast at 15 to 20 mph becoming southeast this afternoon 10 to 15 mph. once again the surf looks lackluster with poor shape. maybe a little wave on the south side at the right sandbar and tide ???

Cape Hatteras, NC:
a lot of water and high tide isn't until around 9:15 this morning. the next low tide almost 4 this afternoon. no wind but as the front moves through this morning it is forecast to be NW at 5 to 10 and then switching to the north at 15 to 20 mph. the surf is very disorganized. maybe the wind will help it.highway 12 north of rodanthe is open to all vehicles. gas is $.40 a gallon cheaper in nags head, fill up before heading down.
