North Central, NI:
The surf dropped a bit overnight, it is in the waist to shoulder high range with occasional head high sets. The form is better this morning at fair to good with very light variable breezes early with some passing showers. The weather has cleared out at 10 30 and it is nice and sunny with a light offshore breeze. The main beach and Pistols looking fun with 2 in the lineup.

Corolla, NC:
I was surprised when I looked at the surf this AM. I thought it would be out of control but last night's rain helped to clean up surface conditions. Yesterday's afternoon paddle out might have been a challenge but this morning, it looks like you could make it outside. NOTE: I'M PICKING HURRICANE IRENE/CSS Tees WITH PROFIT GOING TO OBX VICTIMS OF HURRICANE IRENE. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Chest to head high with overhead sets. WInds are NE early but are forecasted to go E later in the day. Should build throughout the day and into tomorrow. Looking really good for Friday as winds go N

Looks like another big day out there. 4 5ft should be easy to find but if its like yesterday dont be suprised to see some sets overhead. Have fun, be safe and leave days like this to the experienced surfer.
