Cape Hatteras, NC:
the surf is big enough that it will break through all the tides today. high tide at 9 this morning and low tide at 2:45 this afternoon. forecast is for north winds switching to the northwest, west and eventually back to southwest as the day goes on and the low moves away from us. i'm going to venture a guess that the surf improves as the day goes on. the shape looks okay right now. surf is the same size on both sides of the island.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
the tide is way too high this morning. high at 7 with a low around 1 this afternoon. a little more swell than yesterday and with a forecast of light winds all day i'm guessing, just as it has the last two days, we will get some fun surf in the middle of the day. definitely worth keeping an eye on but not worth skipping out of work for.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
A small tiny semi clean swell that is barely breaking because the tide is to high. It will be small but breaking better as the tide goes out late this am. Good wind forecast with light east winds.

we went back and checked again. certainly a disappointment after yesterday PM when the swell increased. winds are light this morning but are supposed to increase to 10 to 15 mph out of the east . low tide around 11 with high tide around 5:45 this afternoon. i found the sky more interesting than the surf this morning.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
low tide at 9:15 this morning with a high tide around 3 this afternoon. forecast is for southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 mph this afternoon as the front approaches before it stalls north of us. it's steamy outside this morning and feels like summer. the surf is typical southwest wind swell around waist high on sets. when i surfed yesterday morning it had NO power and looks the same today.

swell has increased in size today. the shape looks fair with onshore winds out of the northeast at 10 to 15 mph. forecast is for northeast winds at 10 mph today becoming east. i'm going to guess it might die out some as the day progresses and the high pressure moves further away from us. high tide is around 10:30 this morning with low tide arond 2:30 this afternoon.
