Cape Hatteras, NC:
no wind this morning. forecast is for west winds at 5 mph today. the swell is a bit unorganized this morning. i did see one person get a good one as i walked over the dune and then saw only a few people get passed by. the next high tide will be at 9:00 this morning with a low tide around 3 this afternoon. my guess is that the surf will improve as high tide passes (but what do i know?) have fun out there.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
how nice to see some waves. high tide at 8:15 this morning and low tide around 2 this afternoon. a long period swell so a bit inconsistant. winds at surf check northeast at 10 to12 mph. winds are forecast to be north at 5 to 10 mph increasing to 10 to 15 mph out of the north. (waves today courtesy of our surf sacrifice hyatt, who got seven stitches in his finger yesterday)

very, very high tide at 6:30 this morning. there's still a bit of swell but it's way too deep. should improve towards the low tide at 12:15 this afternoon if the wind doesn't come up too soon on it. northwest winds this morning at 10 to 15 mph will give way to north winds at 15 to 20 this afternoon.

the next low tide is 11:30 this morning. a little left over swell from yesterday but way too much water so the best bet will be a middle of the day surf. high tide once again at 6 this evening. barely a breath of wind this morning will give way to southwest winds at 10 to 15 mph this morning. wind increasing this afternoon to 15 to 20 mph. water a refreshing 74ish degrees.

definitely more 'swell' than there has been lately but lacking shape. wind is northeast and the swell seems to be coming straight in out of the east. next low tide is around 8:45 this morning with the next high tide around 3:30 this afternoon. forecast is for east winds at 15 to 20 mph.
