high tide is around 11:30 am. Yesterday the surf improved mid morning on the incoming for abit and then got worse. Don't know if it will do the same today or not. What little swell there is has less shape than yesterday am.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
looks like summer time dribble this morning. approaching high tide around 8AM is not helping things. it's a slow motion day for surf. forecast calls for southwest winds 10 to 15 mph early increasing to 15 to 20 mph.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
really small on the east facing beaches with a sideshore wind out of the southwest around 15 mph. forecast is for the wind to switch to the northwest this afternoon so maybe a possibility of a wave over there this afternoon.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
low tide around 10 am, high tide around 4 pm. a mix of side shore and offshore wind. the north and east are out of the swell this morning so it's just a small southwest wind swell. the water temp dropped yet again yesterday into the low 50's but should rebound some with the southwest winds.

Cape Hatteras, NC:
still plenty of swell at the jetties. peaks around but the most prominent right off the first jetty and plenty of people to share it with. slight surface texture as the wind is swinging southwest to west southwest. water temps have dropped back into the lower 50's.

Ocean is again a giant mess. Breaking on the outer bar. Things are going to have to calm down a lot. I haven't seen Frisco but hear there is plenty of swell there also but not much shape.
