New York:
Comments:   Waist high with some bigger sets and clean.  Winds are NW early but will go more West later in the day.  Looks like some fun little waves.  Get on it before the West winds do.

Emerald Isle, NC:
1/19/09 – Probably some of the better looking waves we’ve had in a while – waist-high and clean; coming in sets – didn’t see many close-outs, wobbles, or dissected, section waves. Granted it’s not epic or anything – just good compared to we’ve had lately. Could be one of you colder sessions though this year and she’s (wind) supposed to turn pretty hard to SW/W. Have a great day - pics from Bogue Inlet Pier.

Pismo Beach, CA:
What happens when the surf reporter surfs? The report is late. Pulled up to check out the waves and it was going off. Cold sweat, shaky hands, adrenaline rushing thru my veins. 6 to 8 ft fairly clean and glassy. Hellish paddle out but well worth the effort. Screaming sections with Dennis. Cha!

Ocean Beach, CA:
Good morning from San Diego - While yesterday was a miss by most forecasters, today will not disappoint. Waves are in the head-high to 2-3' overhead range and holding strong. Surface is glassy with no winds yet. Lifeguards are out on jetski's. Intermediate+ only out there.
