Air temp has shot up to 70 degrees. This warm air has created a thick fog. The off-shore wind allows surface conditions to be semi-glassy. Wave height is only knee cap high but we have an out going tide with well defined sand bars. There should be some decent breaks in south Whalehead. Water temps move up to 47 degrees Fahrenheit. NOTE: IF YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR BEACH COTTAGE, PLEASE BOOK YOUR SURF LESSON.

Unseasonably warm day with a strong off-shore wind out the SSW. Air temps are forecasted to hit 70 degrees. You can tell by the pictures I took that the wind has flatten the surf. Corolla is currently going from low to high tide but the surf is so flat that even the incoming tide is not increasing wave height: GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Spring like weather but very small surf. Wave height is ankle slapper to knee cap w/a light off-shore wind. At this posting, we have a light off-shore wind and an incoming tide. We have no complaints about the weather, it is helping to keep H20 temps out of the 30’s: GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
A splendid morning spent bodyboarding in the rain and waves. Solid shape lasted until the wind picked up and got a bit sloppy, nonetheless small and very clean bowls. Was planning on taking the surfboard out but w
Super Bowl Sunday Surf Report! I just took these pictures in front of my home break. It’s all about the wind. Wind direction is out of the North to northeast. Wave height is wist to stomach and very choppy. Current air temp is 38 degrees and wind chill feels as if air temp is 30 degrees Fahrenheit. The North wind is creating a side-shore current running north to south. I took these pictures at Dolphin Street. Despite the chop, you can see a wide variety of sandbars.
Mid Corolla might offer a good selection of surf spots. Stay posted: NOTE: A GREAT GIFT IS A COROLLA SURF SHOP GIFT CERTIFICATE. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Getting ready for a cold spell. Wind direction is out of the ENE and wind speed is 16 mph. This has created choppy waist high surf at high tide and a wind chill that will probably drop down inot the 20's. We have had very surf able swell over the last two weeks. Today is not one of those days: GARY, CORLLA SURF SHOP
