Corolla, NC:
Right after I posted my yesterday’s report, the wind switched. It is still blowing out of the East-Northeast. Wave height is only knee to thigh high. Surface conditions are choppy. The good news: water temps jumped up to 64 degrees Fahrenheit from 52 degrees. NOTE: WE RENT WETSUITS. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Corolla, NC:
At this AM’s posting, Corolla has small surf: knee cap to thigh high. We still have an outgoing tide and a wind out of the SW. The off-shore wind has pushed the warmer currents out to sea, so H2O is currently 52 degrees Fahrenheit: NOTE: MOST SCHOOLS WE BE LETTING STUDENTS OUT EARLY THIS YEAR & WE EXPECTING A BUSY SUMMER. PLEASE RESERVE YOUR EQUIPMENT AND SURF LESSONS BEFORE YOU COME DOWN TO TH EBEACH. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP

Corolla, NC:
The “X” factor today is the wind. The SW wind is blowing at 13 to 16 mph. This has used last week’s warm water back out to sea and left us w/52 degree Fahrenheit H2O temps. But the wind is helping to keep right hand sections open. I took these pics right before low tide. Wave height is about knee to thigh but should increase once the tide flips at 9:42 AM: NOTE: COROLLA SURF SHOP IS LOOKING INTERVIEWING FOR SUMMER SALES POSITIONS IN THE SHOP. WE NEED HELP SELLING BIKINIS AND SURFBOARDS. info@corollasurfshop.com

The research and development of the Herlihy board started at home and in the Caribbean. The true test of this unique bodyboard design was the power of the north shore. Enjoy this highlight reel of the trials and tribulations of the Herlihy board on Oahu.
