I feel slightly encouraged about today's surf. There is a slight increase in size: wave height is knee-thigh-an occasional waist high wave. Good morning. It's another pretty morning out here at Pensacola Beach. The surf is basically flat. You have some small ankle snappers coming through ever so often but it's to deep for it to really break. The wind is blowing out of the West at 5 mph and the air temperature is 81 degrees. High tide is at 8:51 this morning and low tide is at 7:51 tonight. We are not expecting the surf to build today but we will keep our eyes on it. Have an awesome Wednesday and we will give you another surf report at midday.

Santa Teresa, CR:

Wednesday July 9 2014. Very good surf today in Santa Teresa beach and nearby breaks. Waves were in the chest to head high range, still with the energy left from the old S swell that peaked over the last weekend. Morning session was really good in playa Hermosa, nice open rides and lots of steep playful walls at the beach break. Conditions were nice and clean with glassy water and light offshore breeze. Afternoon surf was good at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary, but got a bit choppy when a passing storm got close to shore and wind started blowing onshore for a little while.
