The pictures tell the story; barely ankle slapper. What happened last night was that an intense storm system moved through Corolla. This broke a heat wave but did little to help the surf. At this posting, we have a wind out of the ENE and swell out of the ESE: not the right equation for surf, the wind negates the swell. Pensacola, FL:

Good morning. The surf is only running shin to knee high. The wind is blowing out of the North at 7-8 mph and the air temperature is 74 degrees. High tide is at 9:07 this morning and low tide is at 5:46 tonight. We are not expecting the surf to build today and I am not seeing any real surf in our near future. We will keep our eyes on it. Have a great Friday and we will give you another surf report at midday.
