The weather flipped around 9:00 PM last night. Air temps dropped from the 70's to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind turned 180 (SSW to NNW) and accelerated to 30 mph plus (Gale Force). This has pumped up the ocean and we now currently have "out of control surf" with a dangerous side shore current running North to South. NOTE: YES, WE STILL HAVE LOTS OF HOODED SWEATS. Good morning. The surf is running shin to knee high. The wind is blowing out of the NE at 13-16 mph and the air temperature is 45 degrees. There was a 31 mph gust at 5:22 this morning. The surf should stay about the same size all day but it looks like we should have surf for tomorrow so get your boards ready. High tide is at 11:49 this morning and low tide is at 9:50 tonight. Good afternoon. Is anyone else pissed that we are back in jackets and jeans? I am. I went and got super warm inside of the Waterboyz indoor skate park! If you want a killer surf-like workout...go to Waterboyz!! The winds out here on Pensacola Beach are crazy. They are coming out of the North at 18-19 mph and gusting up to 29 mph!! Wow. The surf is flat. It's the Lake of Mexico now. There is still surf to the east if you are willing to drive for it but I am not sure about the conditions.
