The wind, at this AM posting, is blowing out of the ENE-E-WNW. In other words, we have a clocking wind. If wind direction would turn a couple of more degrees to the West, then we would have a consistent off-shore. Wave height is knee to waist on the faces with both rights & lefts. It is surf-able with quick sections. A high performance short board with some volume might the best equipment for these conditions. NOTE: WE RENT WETSUITS, SURF BOARDS, BIKES, BODY BOARDS, SKIM BOARDS AND STAND-UP PADDLE BOARDS. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Willy Cole takes a few days to explore some perfect longboarding waves in Central America. Single fins, noserides, logging, bodysurfing.....too much fun!
Good morning. We have some small leftovers from yesterday. It's running knee high with some bigger sets depending on where you surf. The wind is blowing out of the NW at 10-11 mph and the air temperature is 53 degrees. Low tide was at 4:41 and high tide is at 7:12 tonight. I am not seeing any real surf for the next couple of days. It looks like we may have some small surf all day so keep your eyes on it. Have a great Wednesday and we will give you another surf report at midday.
Wednesday April 9th 2014. Good surf in Santa Teresa, Mal Pais today. Waves were on the waist to chest high range, slightly smaller than yesterday as the old SW swell continues to fade. Morning session was very fun, and some good waves broke at the beach break upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary. Afternoon was a bit choppier and messy, but still some few good rides rolled in.
