Good morning! It is a rainy and stormy morning. The surf is still big but it is nasty out here on Pensacola Beach. It is running rib to chest high. The winds are out of the SSW at 15-19 mph causing for windy, choppy conditions. The offshore winds are still in Louisiana as of this report. It looks like this huge storm front is about to move out. We will update later today! Keep your toes crossed for offshore goodness this evening.
I hope you had a chance to catch surf over the weekend. Today is a good day to show up at school and/or work. Corolla has an east on-shore wind blowing at 19 to 22 mph that has knocked down any sections. Wave height is only knee cap high with broken sections. Now for the good news: the East On-Shore wind has pushed warmer waters into shore. This is the 1st time in 2014 the H2O temp has hit 50 degrees Fahrenheit! NOTE: WE ARE SELLING ALL OF LAST YEARS (2013) RENTAL EQUIPMENT. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
Good morning! It is a gray and windy morning out here on Pensacola Beach. The surf is up! The winds are coming out of the straight South at 16-17 mph and gusting up to 21 mph. The surf is running waist to rib high. I am watching sets break out back sometimes. It is really choppy and sloppy out there. Winds should be strong all day so go find some kind of shelter. It is going to be switching to the West and then NW during the evening, probably after sunset. Tide will be going out until 3:39 pm and then will be on its way back in for the rest of our daylight hours. We will have a report for you later today.
