Small knee cap high waves that would be bigger if there wasn't an strong off-shore wind blowing. Wind chill is in the low 30's w/an overcast sky. I took these pictures at dead high tide: the full moon is pulling the high almost up to th edune line. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
The wind is about 15 to 20 out of the WNW so the faces are clean, but the swell is out of the SSE and there is no real shape. There are a few that come in though that do hit the bar and you can get a really fun one.
This is Blue Surf Adventures Santa Teresa Surf Camp report, located at the gorgeous beach of Santa Teresa in the pacific coast of Costa Rica.Surf was good today in Santa Teresa. SW-SSW swell peaked, and waves were in the chest to shoulder high range with some bigger sets. Conditions were clean in the morning and better early when the tide was still high. There were some very fun rides at the peak upfront Blue Surf Sanctuary, a gorgeous boutique and surf destination hotel and billabong sponsored surf camp.
The surf is questionable but the weather is mild. Wave height is only knee cap (at this posting) we have an air temps in the high 40's, the sun is out and the wind is blowing out of the South to South-East. In summary, mild winter weather and small surf. NOTE: THE COROLLA SURF SCHOOL GAVE OVER 2,000 SURF & STAND-UP PADDLE BOARD LESSONS IN 2013. SIGN UP EARLY. GARY, COROLLA SURF SHOP
The swell is still around and the conditions a favoring a mid tide session. the wind is out of the west so it is super clean. With it being high tide the swell is barely breaking.
