Anyone go out today? Did 5 hours in clean uncrowded conditions. The water was almost glowing green where it dredged up on the sandbar.

speaking of the water being filthy, i got home last night after surfing Saturday and Sunday and I have a sinus infection. I blew my nose last night and my ear clogged up, figured by the time I woke up this morning it would be clear, but here it is 24 hours later and my damn ear feels like I have an earplug in it. Anybody else surf this weekend in MD and having similar problems?

I surfed around 15th street this weekend in OC. No problems here. Sunday had some really fun sets with no almost no wind.

damn, that's craaaazyy! i surfed Assateague Sunday morning, maybe it was from there...i dunno...I'm stumped, I had to have got it from the water, took some Mucinex last night and by the time I woke up this morning my ear was clear...still a little congested, but that Mucinex is good sh!t.

    Super fish,

this place is not really clean that often, but it does get really big from fall into mid-summer....but usually out of control. This place works best up to about 4'-5' during the fall, but occasionally gets decent in the summer. Water temps are trippy, can be 58 degrees one day then drop to 48 almost overnight....during the summer!!!

There are other spots around here that can handle the swell, but I can't give 'em away. The locs here are the most protective that I've ever met, and for good reason. They are holding big time up here, but it's not like you just pull up to the lot to see it going off every single day. When I say you gotta search, you really have no idea until you've been there. "Wild" only begins to explain. And, 90% of the spots up here are "novelty" spots....a weird combo of swells, winds and tides will only make certain places fire.

Here's a link to the La Push cam:

This place is no secret, but it's not all that great either. 10-15 people in a 1/4 mile stretch constitutes a "crowd".
