The best studies so far show second hand ecig vapor is safer than the ambient air of most big cities. Under the new FDA guidelines coming out soon, they won't be required to have a health warning other than "nicotine is addictive". Nicotine itself isn't a carcinogen, just a mild stimulant.

I am a smoker and any more feel like I diseased alian with all the new rules and rude looks. I don't smoke inside at home. Do not smoke indoors in public. I always walk away from a group or from people to have my smoke. I try and be respectful as possible. But if I am planted or located some where and a non-smoker comes into my area then gives me looks or crap because I am smoking, that just pisses me off. I agree, that dumb girl when I was 12 was the one that got me smoking and now that Im 40, smoking was the dumbest thing I ever started. I have tied quitting several times and am working on my plan to quit for good, not because of the rules or rude people out there. I am doing it for my health and well being. Once I do quit, I will also not be the one giving other smokers crap!

Oh dude I know, it's infuriating. The FDA doesn't even care if it's a healthier alternative(less harmful) than traditional cigs. Some of the proposed regulations are so ludicrous. They won’t outright ban it because they can't get away with it, but they’ll put such stringent regulations and guidelines on it that the majority of the current market won’t be able to meet, basically a de facto ban. And the taxes on not only e-liquid but the hardware such as tanks, attys, batteries, mods etc, idk how they’re going to put that into effect especially when the majority of it is cloned sh!t that comes from china.

Only thing the FDA/government cares about is getting their hands in the cookie pot and taking their share in taxes from it, especially with the lost tax revenue from dropped cigarette sales. Tobacco and Pharmaceutical companies are both lobbying for the same thing, to squash ecigs into the ground. None of them care out our health and wellbeing, only their profits…

To add insult to injury Nicorette has a nicotine inhaler that is FDA approved and has the same ingredients as the liquids we use plus a whole array of other chemicals not found in ecigs. And while we can dial up the volts or watts for more of a throat hit, they add hydrochloric acid to the inhaler for a throat hit… Sounds really healthy right? Smh…

If you want to quit brother try out an ecig, and not one of the cheap BLUs or NJoys from a gas station. Find a local vape shop and stop in, you can pick up a battery, tank, and bottle of any flavored juice you want (100s of flavors) and pick the nicotine level you want to start out with. Most of those starter kits are like 20-40 bucks. I started off at the highest nicotine level since I was smoking a pack and a half a day and I’ve worked my way down to the lowest and I’m at next to zero nicotine now. My lungs and health have improved 10 fold, I don’t weeze or cough crap up anymore and my surfing has been better since I have better endurance. Like I tell anyone wanting to quit smoking, try and ecig for at least 5 days without a real cigarette, and if you take a drag after that it will taste so gross you won’t even want it. By far the most effective way of quitting smoking imho.

I thought e cigs were for ppl trying to stop smoking.i didn't know it was vaporized nicotine, looks gay if u ask me lol.if u want to smoke go smoke.all I see with the e cig or blue or whatever they call em looks like they are put out to lure kids into smoking, which I do not approve.

I like to smoke, but not tubako.I could puff a bowl and be stoned, but id rather smoke a fat long spliff.I never done the vaporizer thing, too technical for me.

    for u nonsmokers and smokers

They are for people trying to quit smoking traditional cigs. Like 98% of people that use ecigs/vape are former smokers. It's designed to be a method of getting you off regular cigarettes, not a path that leads you to traditional tobacco products. Either way kids are going to view cigarettes as cool or ecigs as cool. Tobacco products we're specifically advertised to kids as the "cool" and "hip" thing to do. Anti smoking/tobacco companies/organizations have been trying their hardest to break that stigma and preach how bad it is and try this cessation drug, that product blah blah blah. But when something like the ecigs come out of no where, AND ACTUALLY WORK at getting people to stop smoking, everyone freaks the fck out lol. I wish is was as simple as letting someone have the freedom of choosing to have a smoke, a puff of a vape, or do nothing. All without having some political bs shoved down your throat by someone else because that's what they believe.

And in my opinion, it'd be better for a youth to pick up a vape instead of a tobacco cig any day. Despite what the media wants you to think about them, they really are harmless, and studies on nicotine show it's no worse for you than caffeine, and we are in a country that loves it's caffeine. What I do totally agree with though is not letting any minors purchase liquid with nicotine in it, I'm all for that and it's common sense. Will that prevent all kids under 18 from getting their hands on it? Not in a long shot, just look at booze.

And as far as it being too technical for ya, I know for a fact you'd be able to do it, the technology behind it is actually so simple it surprises me it wasn't thought of long ago. All it is is a battery connected to a tank filled with your flavored juice with your choose of nicotine percentage. Inside that tank there is a silica or cotton wick that soaks up the juice. There's a wire heating element (spring shaped coil) wrapped around that wick. When you hit the button on the battery current flows through that resistance wire and it gets just hot enough to turn the liquid into an inhaleble vapor. A lot of humidifiers work the same way actually, just a different size scale. There's your 101 into vaping haha

You are fooling yourself. Combustion of the marijuana plant creates far more harmful chemicals than the vaporization of nicotine liquid.
