Some fun little lines coming through from a south swell this morning even with the higher tide. At Mid-day Northerly winds tended to slop it up a bit.

NSB Inlet report : Fun once again this am. Pics were taken at 8am and some at 930 when I got out of the water. Started to back off a bit ,but still definitly worth a surf. Starting to warm up. Crowds on it. GO SURF!! last two pics were when I got out of water 9:30ish....

Comments:   SW wind swell in the waist to chest high range and clean.  Winds are NW early and will be all day.  Looks like some fun little waves coming in.

1/24/09 – There’s a funky waist-high wave out there – kinda of all over the place, but could be OK/fun at the place and tide. Plus the wind may rotate more out of the NW this afternoon to clean things up a bit so keep an eye on it. Have a great day - pics from Bogue Inlet Pier. Surf night – is tonight (1/24) at Ballyhoo’s!!! There’s a ton of stuff to do/win starting at 7:30 pm …Lost has stepped up to the plate big time with 5’5” Redux DVDs and plenty swag to give away. Also a surfboard raffle of a sweet surfboard skinzed Carl Heverly shred stick. SurfCarolina is in house too with their slide show/movie that will be showing as well. There will be a raffle to for a Ryan Mills canvas print, and oh yeah, there’s Frozen Head & the Squirrels starting at 9:30-ish. Be there or be square.

It's 4:20 at the OB pier in San Diego - Today started off with steady rain and small waves, but it's looking pretty good now. Clear skies, light wind out of the SE, and our new NW swell is starting to show in the thigh-shoulder range. Water is kind of murky after the downpour but that's not stopping the weekend crowd. Overall it seems to be pretty fun out there... while I was filming the longboarder on the south side, some dude was getting shacked on the north side. Definitely some quick little barrels out there. Tomorrow should be awesome. Air temp: 70F. Water temp: 60F.
