New York:
Comments:   Waist high with some bigger sets with West winds on it.  Winds will be West all day.  Not looking that good.  May see some clean little waves for Saturday afternoon.

Emerald Isle, NC:
1/21/09 – There’s a little itty-bitty background, long period swell in the water, but she’s breaking right on the beach, and it’s not one of those go hunt and find a wave days with frigid air and water to be found everywhere. Sorry for the late report – wimp factor at play on my part. Have a great day - pics from Bogue Inlet Pier. Surf night – is this Saturday (1/24) at Ballyhoo’s!!! …Lost has stepped up to the plate big time with 5’5” Redux DVDs and plenty swag to give away. Also a surfboard raffle of a sweet surfboard skinzed Carl Heverly shred stick as well. Be there or be square.

Ocean Beach, CA:
Good morning from the OB pier in San Diego - The stoke continues with some WNW reinforcements seemingly arriving overnight. Waves are still holding in the waist-chin range with some sweet head-high juice making its way in. Conditions are super glassy with absolutely no wind out there; crowds are nil as well... looks like everyone is either tired or back at work. Clean, long lines on both sides of the pier. The San Diego rivermouth seems to be breaking too if you're willing to make the trek out to the end of the jetty. Air temp: 70F. Water temp: 59F. Might be your last chance to catch clean water waves as the rain is supposed to start falling later today.

Comments:   Still some little waves coming in.  Waist high with the occasional bigger set.  Winds are NW early but will switch to the West later in the day.
